Online Conference “High growth technology business 2024 – Global perspectives“

The event will take place on March 15th, 2024, from 9:00 to 12:15 (CET). Pre-registration is required.

The conference is organized by the European Patent Academy and the Licensing Executives Society (LES) International. It aims to support the managers of technology-based companies, especially those of SMEs, by providing information on how their business could benefit from intellectual property.

The conference schedule consists of 4 key lectures. It will also provide participants the opportunity to meet with leading experts in their respective technological fields, who are ready to share their most recent insights, as well as practical advice that could benefit businesses. Participants will have the chance to learn about technological businesses supported by powerful brands, about the importance of users, production tendencies, and intellectual property strategies, as well as how to commercialize their own intellectual property.

The speakers at the event will be the following:

  • Juergen Graner, Globalator has over 30 years of experience in businesses management and strategic deals, having held management positions in companies spanning over 6 countries on 3 different continents. He has moreover trained more than 100 enterprise managers, and has over 25 years of experience as a trainer and speaker in the field of strategic transaction management. Lastly, Mr. Graner has contributed with numerous publications in the field;
  • David Ai, London School of Economics (LSE) is responsible for innovation at LSE, having held similar positions in Hawaii, Hong Kong and Stanford. He was the Chief Adviser of Hitachi VC, Vice President of Varian Medical Systems and Cirque Corporation (now ALPS Japan), and has founded several start-ups. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration (Stanford) and is a patent attorney;
  • Audrey Yap, Yusarn Audrey LLC is a lawyer and patent attorney with significant experience working with businesses at various stages of their growth. She has been one of the world’s leading IP strategists for 15 consecutive years, according to the IAM300 rankings. She is the co-founder and managing director of ASEAN IP and YUSARN AUDERY LLC in Singapore;
  • Apiwat Thongprasert, VISUP is the Managing Director of a university venture organization in Thailand with experience in the successful commercialization of university research results, as well as in the areas of technology management and B2B business development internationally. His expertise is related to various sectors including IoT, biotechnology, semiconductor and others;
  • Thomas Bereuter, European Patent Office (EPO) is a certified licensing expert with extensive experience in technology transfer transactions. He has founded and supported start-ups as a manager, consultant and mentor. He started his 30-year career in technology commercialization as an inventor, and went on to found a successful academic incubator and technology deployment unit. He has been with EPO since 2013 and has 15 years of experience as a university lecturer.
