Since 2004, Innovative Enterprise of the Year awards are given to Bulgarian companies successfully integrating innovations or scientific achievements in their practice, thus streamlining their activities and improving their long-term performance. Companies are assessed by area of impact of the innovation, following a specific methodology by an expert group and an external jury of widest institutional and stakeholder representation. This year Sofia Tech Park joined as a co-organizer of the contest.
Twenty-one out of 90+ candidate companies from diverse sectors of the economy made it to the final competition round. President Radev granted the awards to the winners in the eight areas of innovation impact that were elicited by a 21-member jury, constituted by representatives of public authorities, funding organizations, the business, academia and media. All finalists were also granted the Excellence in Innovation label of Applied Research and Communications Fund.
The forum was moderated by Ms Lilia Goleminova, Bulgarian National Radio, media partner of the Innovation.bg flagship.
